CISAP Is Simple Audio Player

CISAP stands for CISAP Is Simple Audio Player. CISAP is a simple command line audio player which provides many facilities to play different audio file formats from your command line. The project is licensed under GPL-3.0.

CISAP has originally been developed with C programming language, utilizing GCC compiler, Ncurses library FMOD library to decode audio files.

In 2016, the source code of the project was ported to C++ and the project refactored entirely. In addition to that, the lyrics fetching feature added to display lyrics of the song using Elixir Lyrics, an in-house lyrics API.

The name CISAP is inspired by recursive acronym model which was mainly used by 80s and 90s hackers.
